What to take going down to the Chasm?
The greedy mouth of the Chasm is full not only of gold but also of dangers and places unknown to the dwarven gaze. Any valiant adventurer should prepare well for the descent, so as not to leave in disgrace from the very first levels. After all, the deeper you go, the greater your reward will be!
The first thing you need to take with you to the Chasm is torches of course, or can you see in the dark, dummy? Of course, most dwarves have lived most of the time in the bowels of the mountains and can distinguish some outlines in the twilight, but it’s still almost like waving a sword blindly.
The second thing that is important in the Chasm is food. If you don’t have any delicious cakes with you, then how will you replenish your strength after exploring the level, or even more so — fighting with a monster? Well, not with stones, I think! And it will be much more difficult to fight on an empty stomach. If you have no gold for cakes then grab at least some water in your wineskin, it will soften your hunger a little, and for a while, it’ll deceive your stomach.
Well, the third, but no less important, is elixirs. If the enemy gets you and inflicts wounds (then what the hell kind of warrior are you…) then the elixir will help you restore your health. Thanks to the art of alchemists, your wounds will heal, and you’ll be ready for further exploits.
So, valiant dwarf, go ahead because not only the strongest ones win but also the smartest. Go and take your piece of cake!
